Country Garden Gatefold Keepsake Album Deluxe

So, here’s my latest gatefold Keepsake Album De Luxe, and a pretty large one: about 8,5 x 11 inches, which is almost A4. It was commissioned by a lady who had asked me to incorporate some pictures of her dogs, which gives me the opportunity to show you some “complete layouts”, i.e. at least some of the pages and tags have photographs – plus embellishments.

The paperline is Country Garden by Bo Bunny, a somewhat older design stack but timeless and a very pretty summer line!

If you’d like to create an album like this yourself, check out the tutorial for my Springtime Dreams Keepsake Album, for it has the same basic design!

A Rose Garden Trio of Birthday Cards

Here’s three different cards created from one paper stack: Rose Garden by First Edition. All three designs are my own; it was great fun to come up with them and create them. The Rose Garden paper is truly lovely, very feminine and romantic. Very suitable for my aunt and my cousin, who have their birthdays in August.

The designs are very stylish, their contruction kept lean and with very little embellishments. It’s my way of allowing the beauty of the paper to speak for itself.

There’ll be a tutorial of the third card in one of my upcoming September projects (Natural History Adventure Ultra Mini Album), where it’ll be a mini album page design. But it works as a card just as well! So stay tuned if you want to learn how to make one… 😉

Anyway, here’s the video – hope you feel inspired by these cards 🙂

Quick Scrap: Eight cute bookmarks

Here’s several ideas for some bookmarks, large & small.
Bookmarks are the ideal quick scrap project: it’s quick, fun and perfect for using up those lovely scraps you have left over from your other projects. Also, they make a great gift, for instance as a companion piece to a novel that you’re gifting someone (or, in my case, a hardcover comic 🙂 ).

These bookmarks have no bulk whatsoever of course, for they have to fit tightly between the pages of your novel. Except for their very top, for that will be the show piece, sticking out above your book 😉

As always, enjoy the video and let me know what you think. Also: like & subscribe 🙂

How to create a 100% Photo Explosion Box

Recently I developed an explosion box for one of my workshops, that is completely matted with photos only – so no design paper this time! 🙂
By way of this video I’m sharing with you a short instruction as to how to make one yourself. You only need 4 sheets of 12×12 inch cardstock, scrapping materials (glue, craft knife or paper trimmer, corner rounder, ruler, scissors, bone folder), a circle stamp and two pieces of ribbon. Oh, and photos of course 🙂

Measurements:
1x 12×12 sheet
1x 11,5 x 11,5 sheet
1x 11 x 11 sheet
1x 8,25 x 8,25 sheet

Treasured Memory Keepsake Album DeLuxe

This is probably the largest (or rather bulkiest) and most complex mini album I’ve created so far. My mother asked me to create a beautiful keepsake album in memory of my father, so you can imagine I went all out on this one.

She chose one of the paper lines in my stash, the gorgeous and very fittingly vintage romantic Stationer’s Desk by Prima Marketing.

The show & tell video has turned out rather long, approx. half an hour, so I decided to do a second version, a Fast Forward Edition so to speak, for those of you who just want a quick overview. You find both videos below plus lots of pictures, so take your pick or enjoy both of them 😉

Happy Birthday – A very special folds card (Step Card)

I created this card after an example I saw in a Kaisercraft flyer. First I experimented with normal white printing paper until I got the scoring and cutting lines right – and then I went for the real thing 😉
To create one yourself, just freeze frame when I show you the “naked card”!

The paper I used is K&Company’s lovely Que Sera Sera collection – the same design paper I used for my boxed mini album!

New Micro Album design: The Briefcase

This is a cute, unique design, which I’m very proud of! It’s a different kind of micro album, which I designed as sort of a briefcase. Also: very fun to create!

Paper is Bohemian Bazaar by Graphic 45, a great paper that I’ve used before – on one of my mini albums and also on a cute gatefold card. I’ve used the last of the scraps that I had left over of these projects to create this micro album. What a great way to use up all of your paper 🙂

Hippo Birdy wallet tutorial (only one sheet of paper!)

Here’s a quick tutorial for creating a fun little birthday wallet.

I keep coming back to this design because it looks great, it’s easy to make and takes only one sheet of 12×12 inch double-sided scrapbookpaper. So I thought I’d share this with you and show you how to make it! 🙂

If you want some more inspiration, click the links below for my other versions.

Dutch language version available as well this time (without the tutorial):

Girly Girl’s Precious – an XL mini album (incl. some Hello Kitty!)

This luxury mini album is 20×27,5 cm (approx. 8×11 inches) and was commissioned by the grandmother of a 7-year old girl who’s fond of – among other “girly stuff” – Hello Kitty and the Belgian/Dutch pop group K3. I offered Grandmother a choice of different paper lines, and DCWV’s Preppy Princess immediately caught her eye. Then she asked if I could incorporate Hello Kitty and K3. Of course! I cried enthusiatically. Only to scratch my head at home, for here was a whole new challenge. I mean, it’s not as if there’s any Hello Kitty scrapbook paper, let alone any K3 lines…

Well, check out the video to see if you think I succeeded. 🙂

Oh, and as for the scrap mats in the album, you can make them yourself pretty easily, just check out my tutorial to see how.

Wedding gift wallet (part 2 – with 15 tags + a little envelope tutorial)

A couple of days ago I uploaded part 1 of this gift wallet for groups of people who give one gift together.

Now, here’s part 2! With not only all 15 personalized tags for this wallet, but also with the special money envelope I created, and some instructions for making it.

Have fun – and then of course like & subscribe! 🙂

Happily Ever After – a wedding gift wallet (part 1)

This gift wallet is perfect for people who give one gift together as a group, like when you’re giving money or some luxury coupons with your entire family, or like in my case with a group of colleagues.
You can add lots of unique tags for each person to write a personal message to the happy couple, which is not just fun for them but will also be a great keepsake.

DCWV’s Once Upon a Time design paper is of course very usable for weddings, for this stack actually has a Happily Ever After sheet, how perfect is that!

Oh, and there is a part 2 to this post by the way, which you find in my next – with not only all 15 personalized tags for this wallet, but I’m also showing you the special money envelope I created, with some instructions for making it! 🙂

And….. don’t forget: please like & subscribe! 🙂

Birthday wallet or Mini Album Page Insert

Here’s another Mom’s Home Original – that is, I created and filmed this project at my mom’s 🙂 Therefore the paper is by Colours Unlimited again, since that little paper pad is the only one my mom has.

This paper wallet is definitely multi-functional: you can either use it as an elaborate birthday card, as I have in this video, or you can designate it to be a bonus project for one of your mini albums – for you could very easily use this as a mini album page insert! Cool…

And: don’t forget to like & subscribe…. 😉
