Quick Scrap: a little tag for those flowers you’re giving to someone special

How about a new category of projects: the ones that take you 30-60 minutes from start to finish, for those unexpected invitations-for-tonight or the little something you want to send someone on impuls. Let’s call thoseโ€ฆย Quick Scraps!

In fact, I actually created a new blog post category for them, check it out in the Category menu on the home page: if you click on it, you’ll see all of my Quick Scrap projects in one neat list – this will make it easier for you to find some inspiration if you’re in dire need of a quick idea! ๐Ÿ˜‰

And here’s a new oneย for you: this little project will help you personalize the bunch of flowers you’re giving to someone – by creating your own tag to write a special message for them! It’ll take you 15-30 minutes at the most.

Hope you’ll take some inspiration from the video! – please like/subscribe & leave a comment if you like ๐Ÿ™‚

And yes, those were some genuine Dutch tulips ๐Ÿ™‚ (with some hyacinths on the side)

Paper walkthrough: Flora & Fauna by K&Company

This is truly a very lovely paper that reminds me of a walk through the park in spring with lots of grass and flowers, trees and birds – and their little eggs! I know it’s autumn now, but with gray, wet skies covering the Netherlands I like to think ahead and picture next year’s spring in my mind! ๐Ÿ™‚

As its name suggests, its theme is all flowers, plants, birds and butterflies, although it also has one sheet of music & poetry – couldn’t tell you why for the life of me, but it’s beautiful nonetheless. Maybe there’s someone reading poetry in that park, accompanied by someone playing a soothing melody on the piano…..

SEI Couture cards & envelopes mini album

— Nederlandstalige video onderaan!

To this day I’m not quite sure what, in “scrapbooking speak”, exactly counts as a mini album; based on what I’ve seen so far, I tentatively conclude that it means something like “any photo album smaller than 12×12 inch (or 30×30 cm)” – which is the standard size for the design paper stacks we all love so much. This of course would automatically mean that virtually every photo album we make is called a “mini album” even if it’s 11×11 inch, the logic of which escapes me somewhat – but since I haven’t yet found any proof to the contrary, I’m sticking to this definition. ๐Ÿ˜‰

Anyway! On to the album! Excuse me, mini album. ๐Ÿ™‚

I was inspired by one of Kathy Orta’s mini albums, added some of my own ideas and together with the gorgeous Couture paper stack by SEI it led to a pretty nice result. But don’t take my word for it, see for yourself. And by all means, let me know what you think!
